Kathy Hunter was hired by Supportive Housing Works in 2009 and currently serves as the Deputy Director where she oversees all internal functions including program administration, fund development, finance, technology and human resources. Kathy provides for all staff a strong day-to-day leadership presence.
Prior to joining SHW, she worked for the City of Bridgeport as the Deputy Director of Housing. In that position she administered a number of HUD Housing Programs, served as Co-Chair of the Greater Bridgeport Continuum of Care and was the City’s Liaison for spearheading the Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness in the Bridgeport Region. One of her notable accomplishments was restructuring Bridgeport’s HOME Partnership Program to accelerate the production of supportive housing projects.
Kathy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Bridgeport, a Master of Business Administration from Sacred Heart University and a Master of Science in Urban Studies from Southern Connecticut State University.
