Jenita Hayes began her work at Supportive Housing Works in August 2014 as a Public Ally, a national AmeriCorps program. Upon completion of the program in 2015, she was hired and now holds the roles of Entry Coordinator and Office Administrator. As Entry Coordinator, Jenita manages and monitors the data entry of the prioritized emergency shelter waitlist to ensure accuracy and appropriately connects those in need to shelter. As Office Administrator, she coordinates office activities and operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with office policies.
Jenita studied accounting at Northeastern University and is involved in her Bridgeport community in various capacities such as being a teacher for the Children’s Leadership Training Institute (CLTI), and board member of Operation Awake.
